Below is a selection of logo designs, advertisements and miscellaneous content that I’ve created. I am very interested in the process and thoughtfulness of design, so I make that a priority in my work.

I designed this hand-drawn logo using a program called Procreate in 2022 for the rebrand of Pace Musical Theater’s merch. At this time, I was also running the program’s Instagram page, @pacemusicaltheater, so I wanted this logo to fit in with the other branding materials I was putting in place. As a Pace student at that time, I also wanted this logo to capture the energy of the spirit of our program. Pace University has one of the top Musical Theater programs in the country, so we were very proud to be Setters. The way the program was spoken about reminded me of the die-hard energy of a football team and its fans. This style and font are associated with something competitive and team-oriented. I observed these qualities during my time there, so I felt that this style would be a good match for the spirit of our program. This logo was then put on t-shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, and more.

Logo Design

I designed this logo as part of a school assignment. The task was to create a brand identity and marketing materials for a fictional conference or festival about something that interested us. I was a Swing on Broadway at the time, so I decided that would be the topic of my festival. A swing is an offstage performer who is prepared to go on for multiple roles in a show at a moment’s notice if the principal gets sick, injured, or takes the day off. The goal of this fictional conference was to celebrate the hard work of swings, understudies, and standbys in the theatre. After several rounds of revisions, I landed on this logo. Since a swing’s job is to know multiple roles, they will often color-code their notes for each part in an effort to differentiate them. In more complicated dance numbers, arrows are used to notate the various places they need to get to onstage. This logo pays tribute to those aspects of the job. As part of the promotional materials, I created mockups of social media posts celebrating real current and former swings on Broadway and posters that included lyrics from famous showtunes to advertise the event.

Dragon Wands & More by Kathy is a small business based in Ohio who commissioned me to create a logo for their signage at craft fairs and markets. Since this business sells very niche products, I wanted to make sure that one look at the logo would immediately give you an indication of what those products were. Their audience includes a lot of cosplayers and renaissance fair attendees, so the font was the very first thing I decided on. From there, I decided on colors that reminded me of dragons and other fantasy creatures. After playing around with shapes I decided on a dragon wing, so even if there weren’t any words, the shape would still be recognizable and associated with the business.

I was commissioned by two entrepreneurs to design a logo for their new business, AK College Strategy. After discussing their services and expertise, I came up with three different logo designs, each with a slightly different feel. In the end, the clients chose the first version.
